Q. 1 STAGES

I first became aware of it early in Nov/Dec 2019, didn't take much notice, then in Jan it started to get real but didn't really think it would affect us. Was a little surprised when the St Patrick's day parades started to be cancelled by the various committees, as opposed to an official order. And then when the first confirmed case was announced in March it was horrible.

Q. 2 EVERYDAY ROUTINE

Daily routine is completely fecked, no school, no travel to work but still have to work from home, try to get school work done, housework, cooking & no gym.

Q. 3 GROUPS

My parents, who are just 70 are staying at home & have not moved outside the gate in over 4 weeks & are starting to go a little stir-crazy. My children are also suffering, especially the 11 year old that misses her friends like crazy & just "hanging" out.

Q. 4 WAYS WE TALK

No Response.

Q. 5 COMMUNITY RESPONSE

Blarney community have been fantastic, cooking and delivering meals to people, organising DVD players and jigsaws for people who are stuck at home. Helen Rahily organised a group on Twitter to do the same for people nationwide & now has a phone line setup so that people can just talk.

Q. 6 THOUGHTS AND PREOCCUPATIONS

I should be doing something epic like writing a book or learning to code java or something! There is fierce pressure on SM that this time should be used to "better" yourself, I can just about make through each day.

Q. 7 SIMILARITY TO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

No Response.

Q. 8 CHALLENGES AND COPING

No Response.

Q. 9 THE FUTURE

No Response.

Q. 10 IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT SPRINGS TO MIND?

No Response.

Q. 11 IN A NUTSHELL

I don't think we will ever go back to the way we were, the economy will take a while to get back to some sort of even keel, jobs are going to be in short supply, children are going to be behind in various subjects in school & will be forever trying to catch-up. But on the other side, I have spent more time with my children even if it is giving out the whole time!
