Alison Morley was born and raised on the Northside in Cork. She was blind to the age of four due to an early bout of German measles. Here she recounts her personal memories of growing up in Cork. Her descriptions include: her first day at school at Scoil Mhuire in Mayfield, secondary school at South Presentation on Douglas Street, going on the hop-on nice days to Lee Fields, first Holy Communion and being a teenager having her first boyfriend.
