In The Cork Folklore Project respects your right to privacy and takes full measures to ensure the privacy rights of those who share information with the archive are preserved in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) introduced in May 2018. Any personal contact information that you provide voluntarily when contacting us directly – via email, telephone, post, or in person – regarding research or general enquiries is not made available outside the Cork Folklore Project. Your email address and any other contact information will be held securely and not shared with anyone, unless the Cork Folklore Project is obligated to do so for legal purposes, such as demonstrating a valid Agreement. Information that you deposit with the Cork Folklore Project will be made available (subject to your agreement) through the Cork Folklore Project to researchers, academics and other members of the public who access our archive. We will keep this data in perpetuity, so as to preserve the culture and history of Cork, Munster and Ireland, and inform the research of future generations.
